During the last half term, the family headed down to The Arch Hotel (reviewed here) in London to have a look at the new Nutmeg collection of children’s wear from Morrisons.
I had to confess that I didn’t know Morrisons even did childrenswear! I was seriously impressed with what I saw; in fact the pieces didn’t feel or look like a supermarket brand. The cotton was soft to the touch and you could tell attention had been paid to detail; tops free from itchy labels, big zips for little hands (with scratch guards so they don’t nick their neck) adjustable waist bands and extendable trouser legs.
The collection was made up of the following ranges:
Eden – rainforest colours and ethnic craft designs
Mini modernist – monochrome with splashes of yellow and aqua
Carnival – oversized prints, tropical florals and bright characters
I used to only think of supermarket clothes if I wanted something cheap and cheerful; something I don’t mind getting ruined but the Nutmeg range is better than that. In fact I don’t know how they managed to get such good quality at such low prices (starting at £2).
Take a look you will be pleasantly surprised!
